Activities in the field of education, science and research
The Institute for Development of International Relations (IDIR) develops activities in various fields, including education, science and research.
In the field of higher education, IDIR mediates and assists foreign applicants interested in university study in Slovakia and Czech Republic. In this context, IDIR addresses specific universities and other entities and negotiates with them the scope and conditions of mutual cooperation. In Slovakia and Czech Republic, IDIR also gradually negotiates cooperation with specific universities, scientific and research staff and highly specialized experts. IDIR is also involved in the creation of their databases.
Worldwide, IDIR is building a network of representatives and partners and is creating contractual relationships with universities, scientific facilities and business entities.
For foreign partners, on an individual basis and based on specific interest, IDIR is looking for professional and qualified experts mainly from European countries for short, medium and long-term work for partner universities, for scientific and research workplaces, as well as for work in economically active companies.
For those interested in higher education based on an agreement, IDIR provides assistance in securing studies in Slovakia and Czech Republic:
- - in English language,
- - in Slovak and Czech language - before the start of studies, IDIR will provide language training in the countries of the interested parties or in Slovakia and Czech Republic, depending on several circumstances and specific needs,
- - higher education in English is subject to a fee,
- - higher education in Slovak or Czech is free at public universities,
- - more attractive conditions are created for select groups of students in Slovak and Czech in professions that are in short supply based on the decision of the governments of the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic, including the guarantee of a job after graduation.
